Anthony Myint, Karen Leibowitz

Talk: The Perennial

Anthony Myint and Karen Leibowitz are husband-and-wife co-founders of The Perennial, an award-winning San Francisco restaurant and bar dedicated to making food the delicious solution to climate change. Anthony and Karen co-authored the memoir/cookbook Mission Street Food: Recipes and Ideas from an Improbable Restaurant (2011), and they often work together, though Anthony is primarily a restaurateur whose projects include Mission Chinese Food (SF & NYC), Commonwealth (SF), and Mission Cantina (NYC), and Karen is primarily a food writer who has written for Lucky Peach, Food & Wine, and The New York Times, among other publications. Karen is the co-author, with Dominique Crenn, of Atelier Crenn: Metamorphosis of Taste (2015).

Anthony Myint

Anthony Eric Myint is an American restaurateur, chef, author and food consultant based in the Mission in San Francisco, California. He is a founder of The Perennial, Mission Street Food, Mission Chinese Food, Mission Cantina, Mission Burger, Lt. Waffle, and Commonwealth Restaurant. He is a pioneer in the charitable restaurant business.

Karen Leibowitz

Karen Leibowitz has co-written a cookbook with Chef Dominique Crenn, called Atelier Crenn: The Metamorphosis of Taste. Karen is also the co-author of Mission Street Food: Recipes and Ideas from an Improbable Restaurant, written with my husband, Anthony Myint. My writing has been published by Food & Wine, The New York Times, Lucky Peach, Modern Farmer, Cherry Bombe, and other publications.
